I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Marty’s passing. I was a patient for many years. He was not just my podiatrist, he was my friend. He helped me get through when my mother suffered a stroke and would let me sit on his exam table and cry and tell me everything would be OK. He was truly a gentleman and such a kind soul. He would proudly talk about his family and display his grandchildren’s art work in his office. I have missed him since he retired and miss him now. My deepest condolescences to all of you. I know you have so many wonderful memories to help you through this sad time. I have many also.

My concolences to the family of Dr. Martin Brohner. I became his patient many years ago and drove quite a long distance from the south side of Chicago to see Dr. Brohner. He is, by far, my favorite doctor. We had wonderful conversations through the years, I learned much about his early years in Chicago. He had very definite political ideas as well and told me well before anyone else saw it that Barack Obama was going to be our first Black President. And, of course, he was right. He also told me how very proud he was of his son and daughter and grandson and granddaughter. He loved you all very very much.
He was always very kind to me, always listened with fascination in our conversations – he was, in fact, a friend as well as my doctor. I have missed seeing him since he retired.
May you all find peace in the wonderful memories you have and great comfort in his love. He was a great man.
