Obituary

Jerome Marvin Brown, born Jan. 3, 1931 in Chicago, died suddenly at the age of 85 after a short hospitalization in North Miami Beach; he is survived by his loving wife Esther, nee Lakin and had been residing in North Miami Beach, FL and Skokie, IL: he was the son of the late Betty, nee Plotkin and Joseph Brown; brother of Paul; father of Bradford (Betty), Valerie, Belinda Brown Lo (Dr. Kar Ming Lo), Rebecca Brown Hoffman (David), Lee Klawans (Jennifer Buckley), Shawn Klawans Holiday (Doug), Karen Klawans (Chris Krueger) and the late Terry Brown (Veronica); Devoted grandfather of 13. Jerry attended Sullivan High School in Chicago and graduated from University of Chicago and received his B.A. in history and mathematics in 1948. He was retired from his family business, Anchor Building Services. Graveside service Wednesday 12:00 Noon at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Donations can be made in his memory to Elaine Gould Scholarship Fund, or University of Kentucky, 2012 St. Stephens Green, Lexington, KY 40503.
