Harry O. Hefter, 94, beloved husband of Marilyn Hefter, née Mora, happily married for 71 years; loving father of Steve (Janice) Hefter, Janice (David) Blum, and Richard (Tracey) Hefter; cherished Popi of Justin (Lauren) and Shira Hefter, Stuart (Jeanne) and Derek Blum, Kayla, Sam and Sophie Hefter; adored great-grandfather of Stella and Scarlet Blum and Michael Hefter; Harry was preceded in death by his brother David Hefter and sister Lilly Brill. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Elvie and Shenna for their loving care and devotion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to StandWithUs, www.standwithus.com . Funeral service Friday, March 15, 11:00 AM at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. I am so Genuinely sorry for the loss …
I did not know him personally-
Regretfully so, as, if Janice displays any of his traits– he too must have been a warm, compassionate and giving individual, talented in his work and endeavors but sharing that with others.

we are Lucky, too that pieces of his Good advice come through her! Such as asking for more work. Very seriously– such advice from our Fathers– are priceless–

Harry was an awesome boss that contributed to my professional growth as a black female within the engineering industry. He gave me the opportunity to for growth and perseverance and recognize abilities within me that I was unaware. God bless for comfort to his family, and he will be truly missed.
