“Cika” Martin was a true role model. I had the honor to know him personally. The man who impressed with his optimism, creativity, persistence, hard work, and above all, his faith and his trust in God, employing all he had for good of those around him. There is a sense of emptiness with his departure. But there is also a sense of lasting influence of his values and his example, that I hope to cherish in my life.

Cika Mladen was an amazing man. He always had a smile on his face and always eager to engage in a discussion. He was passionate, driven, caring, and generous. We will miss him dearly. We look forward to see him again one day soon.

My husband and I will always remember “Cika” Martin as a kind and generous man who loved God and who loved people.He has helped many in need and loved doing it.He always had a happy smile on his face.As I thought of his passing these days I wrote a short poem in Serbian:
On je cinio dobro,
Brinuo za bliznjeg svoga
Pomagao mnogima
Jer je ljubio Boga.
