Obituary

Julia J. Podgers, 89, loving mother of Patricia (James Johnson) & James (Melissa Redmond) Podgers and Deanna (Raymond) Noonan; devoted grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; dear sister to Luella Poirier. Born and raised in Perronville, Michigan Julia was a proud farm-girl. She graduated from high school and moved to Chicago where she worked for Commerce Clearing House. Always interested in medicine, Julia returned to school, earning certification as a medical technician; she worked for many years at Lutheran General Hospital. She concluded her professional life as office manager for her husband, the late Dr. Jerome Podgers, medical practice. He preceeded her in death March 3. Visitation Friday 10 AM until time of funeral mass 11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, 1962 Old Willow Road, Northfield. Interment Randhill Park, Arlington Heights.
