Lester Berger, 91, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016; beloved husband of the late Rella and the late Harriet Berger; loving father of Eileen (Howard) Bengelsdorf and the late Stuart (Leigh) Berger; caring stepfather of Richard (Debra) Issen, Sima Issen (Craig Smentek) and Marshall (Kathleen) Issen; cherished Papa of Dara (Steven), Alyssa (Jonathan), Stacy, Michelle, Alana (Phillip) and David; adored Great Grandpa of Shane, Madalyn, Gabriel and Aidan; dear brother of the late Dave (the late Mary) and the late Sam (the late Florence); fond uncle and great uncle of many; lifelong friend of Gene Lang. WWII veteran of US Navy. Chapel service, Tuesday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
