I am sending blessings and prayers to honor Howard. He met many health hurdles to overcome and challenged everyone. His legacy will live on with Grace. I always enjoyed my visits with him and look forward to see him again. Love, Cousin Patty

My brother and I only got the chance to go out to visit Uncle Howard and Aunt Grace a handful of times but they always made those visits memorable. We went to see the Bears play at Soldier Field, and a White Sox game at what was the new Cominsky. My favorite experience was going to Wrigley Field to see a Cubs game. Uncle Howard somehow got us tickets 11 rows up from the first base dugout on the morning of the game. I had been to many major league games before but I never sat so close to the field. It was probably no big deal to him but it meant the world to me. These are just a few examples of Uncle Howard’s generosity with his time and care for others which he did for decades not only with family but with complete strangers through his Masonic charities. I think that if you have left the world better than you found it you’ve done something right. Thank you Uncle Howard, you will be missed.

Howard was one of the first persons to talk to me when i was interested in becoming a Mason at King Oscar #855 over 10 years ago. We talked often, he always had something interesting to tell me. Howard also helped me on my path towards El Jaala Grotto, his true passion. While these last few years I haven’t been as active as I’ve wanted to be due to work and travel, Howard was always there to be my link to Chicago masonic bodies. I always felt a little closer by reading a story from him or hearing about an event he was excited about. Recently Howard and I chatted a lot about getting my wife, a dentist, involved in Grotto Charities, we were all so excited about it. I will miss him so so much, he was one of the most honorable men I have ever had the priveledge of calling a brother. Rest in Peace. Our sincerest condolences to Howard’s family.
