Sam and Fred were high school buddies of mine. We were, along with 15 or so others, the founders of the Dumbbell club of Chicago. A group of special people that I could honestly say were some of the greatest human beings I had the honor to know and even to love. We are passing on to whatever or wherever folks go who have done their time here on earth. But we have all left this place a much better place had we not been here. God’s speed to all those Dumbbells who are not among us and to Sammy a special bon voyage.
