Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Paul Max Rubenstein announces his passing on Friday February 1st, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife Deborah, and his children Michelle(Colm), Rachel(Andrew), and Ari. Paul will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Ciara, Sarah, Michayla,and Asher. Also with fond memories is Paul’s sister Elizabeth(Jerry), nieces Maura (Rick), Ellen (David), and their children Ruth, Ethan, and Emma. Paul, a graduate of Northwestern, was a talented writer of books and screenplays. As a teacher of screenwriting at Columbia College for 25 years, he helped encourage and develop screenwriting talent of many adored students and shared with them his passion for writing and film. Paul will be truly missed by his immediate and extended family, friends, former students, colleagues, and his four legged children, Elliot and Gracie who stole his heart when they entered his life and quieted his soul when he wrote. Chapel service Thursday February 7, 12:15 PM, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park.
