My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear husband, Bennett.
If ever there was a voice from the past, this is it.
It is difficult to put into words-feelings of so long ago. You and I had a bond, even if we didn't know it then. We understood what it meant to "make-do"with what we had. Yes, we had a roof over our heads, meals, school supplies and the clothes we wore. However, we never had an outfit from Carole Corr! Neither one of us had a family car!
Our lives were very similar, yet quite different and now I feel the pull to write to extend condolences to you on the loss of your soul-mate. You mentioned on the phone when we spoke regarding the Sullivan reunion, that Bennett was ailing. Even though we know that death is lurking around the corner-it never comes at a good time.
I hope you and your family will remember the fun, happy times you spent together and that time will make the hole in your heart heal.
I am still religious and the prayer said to comfort mourners, usually said in Hebrew, translates to: "May G-d comfort you with the other mourners of Zion."
