Rose Albun

I never knew Rose Albun but I knew Andrea from Mather High School. May Rose rest in peace and I am sure she is smiling down from heaven. God bless her and the family.

My wife Betsy, our children, and I knew Rose through Bert O’Day, my mother-in-law. Rose befriended Bert when Bert moved into Chestnut Square in Glenview and became her first friend in the building. Rose seemed to know everyone and wasted no time helping Bert feel at home. I’m 66 so Rose could be the age of Rose’s children, but I told her I wanted her to be my Bubbe, which made her laugh. She was a dear woman and fun to affectionately tease, and we enjoyed looking at her family photos that lined her walls. We hope good memories help you deal with a sad loss, and may her memory be for a blessing.

Growing up with Andrea I have fond memories of Rose! She was Always friendly, sweet, and welcoming!! She had a good sense of humor which to a young adult is so comforting!! I am so sorry for the family to have lost such a beautiful women and hope all the wonderful memories give you peace at this time!
