Only gentile In their building loved them to pieces! Sorry I only saw the notice. Margo thanks for many memories ! My mother said “how can you leave Margo”. Exactly! We are good. Had 8 and moved to Chippewa Falls. Bless you! I remember the fish sticks with Bryan and Lauren at your apartment when Bob and Mark were working. Thanks for both of you being part of our lives. Mary B

Mark and I were friends when we attended Von Steuben high school. We did many things via our high school club the Anacondas. Although I moved to California over 50 years ago I did see Mark and Margo from time to time. About two years ago I came to Chicago and at a small party for me and my wife Susan at Michael Levey‘s house, Mark and Margo were there and I was so happy to have a chance to see them and talk to them.

I’ve known Mark since high school and Margo since they were married. My husband Howard and I have wonderful memories of the warmth, sincerity and humor which Mark shared with us. Though not close, we feel his loss tremendously – rest in peace.

Mark has been one of my closest friends since grammar school. Mark and Margo have helped me through many difficult years and have always stayed friendly. My deepest sympathies to the entire Halpern family and especially to Margo. Rest in peace my friend.

Mark earned a place of leadership in our extended family with his good character and good humor. Even though the three of us live out of town and just saw him only occasionally, we feel this loss deeply. We carry fond memories of him in our heart of hearts.

Mark’s smile, his kindness,.he truly cared, such a good man, i was not close to Mark,.that’s my loss, my life would have been different if I had. Always cared for others, the kind word and smile as he looked down at you, because he was so tall. My love to Margo, the boys ,Don and Bryan, and to Ellen, so sorry and forgive me for not being there to say goodbye
