Paul was a great guy. We were both mechanics. His Studebakers and my Mopars. I loved visiting his home and his parts "warehouse". I ended up with a smaller scale of spare parts "warehouse" because of Paul. I could not believe that he had brand new crated V-8 engines on hand! My mother and Paul hit it off right away. My mother escaped Germany in 1937.
I only wish that I had kept up with Paul after graduation. He taught me how to be a better mechanic and person. Paul always seemed to be smiling and happy when we were in York High School and working on his beloved Studebakers!

I remember Paul as a quiet, yet persistent, presence at Temple Israel in Miller Beach. I watched his interactions with his sons and noticed that he treated them — and they treated him — with great respect and affection. I experienced Ben and Adam as unusually intelligent, educated and sophisticated — characteristics of both Bettyann and Paul. My condolences to the family.

In the B&W photos I think he's on the left wearing glasses with his and my siblings leaning up against the '53 Studebaker. Alden Studebaker

Paul was a real nice person, and I'm so glad I got to know him over the many years. Although we weren't super close, we always had great conversations when we saw one another. Honestly, I was shocked to learn that he had passed away, and it still seems a bit surreal to me.

My earliest memory of him was when he and his family would come out to Dune Acres, IN from their home in Elmhurst, IL to see my grandmother, Naomi. Everybody managed to fit in the back of their '53 Studebaker. The last time I saw him was at my uncle's memorial service. He drove the family's '63 Studebaker Avanti and let everybody take it for a spin. [Color photos]

Paul had a towering intellect mixed with a great mechanical skill with cars. You had to understand his sense of humor which was extraordinary. Paul, you added a lot to the world and will be missed.

Paul joined us in the magnet factory 1981 and, and through his professional work, IGT was the first American producer to deliver the innovative high-energy Nd-Fe-B NeIGT magnets. Paul introduced know-how which competitors eventually patented. Paul's work was vital to the company's success. Paul was well-liked and respected by his colleagues - a special character.
His thoughtful comments at Saturday Evening Club dinners in past ten years are also a happy memory - augmented by Paul's pride in son Benjamin's presentations.
Paul enriched my life - his wisdom stimulating a fine legacy. Thank you, Paul - and supportive family Bettyann and Ben and Adam!
