Mindy wearing the shirt that Mike and Bonnie bought for her. Marlene Goodman

Mike was my dear friend, who I’ve known since I was 15 years old.
He was always involved, in the best way, with my family. Mike was at every gathering that my husband,Harvey and I had at our home when we lived in Lincolnwood. We both went thru some hard times together at the same time.
My family moved to California, but Mike always made sure to visit. Whenever I came to Chicago, Mike was always there to make sure that I was OK.
He was so sweet and caring to my daughter, Mindy, who has Down Syndrome. Never, ever did he forget her birthday, Valentines Day, and every other holiday with a very funny and beautiful “HALLMARK” card. Mindy always referred to Mike as “KAPLAN” and we laughed!
He was so brave and quite the fighter and always told me how lucky he was to have Bonnie in his life.
We know Bonnie’s 24-7 care was always appreciated, even thou he made a joke, and called her “ the warden,” and laughed!!
My family and I are so sad and will miss him so very much.
Marlene, Harvey, and Mindy Goodman
