Fred was like a bonus uncle that I had the honor of knowing through his beloved niece, Elissa Froman. Watching the love those two shared was a true delight and getting to experience his gregarious persona and his love for his family, especially his true love Bea was such a privilege. I am so sad he’s gone and promise to keep his memory alive in my heart.

My deepest condolences to all of you. I had the pleasure to meet and bowl with Fred for many years. I enjoyed our talks about his road trips, the work that Andy was involved in and of course being a grandpa. I missed him when he was no longer able to bowl. He was a gentleman and will be missed.

Dear Marion and family,
May the memory of your brother be for a blessing to you and your family and to all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and be sheltered by G-d’s protection and love.

My wife Ellen came to the US on the same ship as Fred and his family in 1949. Ellen was at Fred’s Bar Mitzvah. We have shared many memories with Fred and Bea, one of which was my playing softball on Gage Cleaners with Fred at Terminal Park in Skokie; another was spending time at their house when Andy was an infant. Fred was the best! He will be very much missed.

On behalf of the Salomon family, we extend our condolences to all of you. Sadly, our families knew too much about loss. Please know we are thinking of you, and will always remember Fred with great affection.
