Evelyn L. Howard, nee Levin, 79, beloved wife of Alan for 55 wonderful years; loving mother of Cindy Howard (Keith Hinshaw) and Lisa Howard; cherished Bubbe, also known by her adorning grandchildren Reese, Ari and Jackson Zaeske as “Bubs”; sister, aunt, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service, Thursday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (giftfunds.stjude.org/EvelynHoward). Evie was an inspiration to anyone who faces health challenges in life. Her illness did not define her…her bravery in experiencing the terror of her illness did.
Evie leaves a big void in my life for we usually texted daily. I will miss the caring and enthusiasm we shared. I will miss my FRIEND!
