It’s been hard to get over this, Jerry my brother and I did many things together. Most
prominent was our love for the horses. Jerry an I learned how to ride them together, me first us renting from different stables in the area.
Then we landed at WestTwon Stables were Jerry met Sandi and I met with a lot of wild
show horses that I was put on. Jerry was there with me most of the time and we shared
many trail rides around the area. He even bought his first horse while we were there. The picture posted on this memorial of Jerry holding the VERY Tall horse with LeRoy and Larry our twin brothers sitting on his back. Several horses later he finally bought a quarter horse , whose name I still can’t spell, and had him till he just about died. This was the same time he met Sandi and she also bought a horse. Not quite broke yet, but that was an easy fix, put Danny on him for a while and let him tire him out so Sandi could then get on him and those two rode off into the sunset! LOL still very fond memories of that time.
Fast forward many years, jobs, kids, etc. Jean and I bought a place in Florida as a go to
get out of Winter up north. Jerry and Sandi visited and we renewed all those old times
in a few pictures posted here.
I will always miss my Brother Jerry and our times together, REST IN PEACE “Jer” Danny

A trip to visit Older Brother Jerry was never complete without a Pizza meal. Big Brother is trying to teach me how to do it, however no one could ever match Jerry’s loving technique.
I have so many wonderful memories of our visits and phone conversations over the years.
Jerry passing is leaving a Giant Hole in my heart, but I am consoled that he no longer has pain and is re-united with Mom, Dad, Joe Jr and my daughter Jennifer. I Love you Brother.

Yup, that’s Jerry about to enjoy a piece of Cannoli Cake after a day of fishing in Minnasota. We didn’t catch any fish but did eat well. Brother do I miss you!

I watched some of the “sad” memories and remembered all of the HAPPY ones-especially your beautiful home on Octavia Avenue in Chicago.
I hope to visit very shortly and get rid of this terrible thing that is plaguing my family!
Jerry had a lot more time and looked healthy. There were things that could have been done with the proper schooling.

The Liotta boys were probably the first cousins that I had met as a young lad. Their Mother, Elanor was my Dads older sister and we looked up to all of them as older brothers. Jerry had the kindest face all the time and there are so many fond memories I have about him that it would take a book. Last time I was at Mayo Clinic waiting for my appointment I overhead them mentioning Liotta. As Sandy and Jerry went by I asked was there any chance that they knew my cousin and after decades we were reunited yet again. Especially when Jerry said that HE was THE Jerry Liotta
Rest In Peace Cuz.

I always called Gerry “Uncle Gerry” even though I’m his sister-in-law! I think maybe because he felt more like my family than a in-law! and it made me feel closer to him! He had so much patience especially when he took me fishing at their home in Lily Lakes in I’ll. He made sure I caught a fish! So much Fun! He made the best home made pizza and Thanksgiving at Sandi and Gerry’s was a real treat! He was a wonderful cook! Very special memories!
Rest In Peace Dear Uncle Gerry! May our memories be a blessing! You will be missed! Love “Aunt” Joanie” ❤️

So many memories there’s not enough space!
The famous Albrook fish-fry parties; Gerry’s brownies at the Thursday socials; his quiet patience and determination as the Landscaping and Maintenance person on the condo board; that almost-secret quiet grin when he was amused; his requests for my renowned tarte au pomme on special occasions; the way he and Sandi held me together when Leo died. He’s been missed around the neighborhood since they left here one year ago and will be more missed now.
God bless all the family at this sad time.

A true gentle soul. A man with few words, but they all mattered. Blessed to have crossed paths with Jerry. A respectful gentleman. You will be missed.
